Procedures
A candidate for a high school equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) shall be at least 18 years of age on the date of the examination, except that in extraordinary circumstances, as provided for in rules of the district school board of the district in which the candidate resides or attends school, a candidate may take the examination after reaching the age of 16.
If students' academic records (transcript/history) indicate a deficit in credit attainment or grade promotion such that the student may not complete his/her High School Diploma according to the Pupil Progression Plan in the intended age appropriate or timely manner shall be eligible for consideration.
Students must have the principal's permission to be enrolled in the GED preparation program and must meet pre-qualifying standards.
All students must complete GED pre and post testing assessments with passing standard scores equivalent to 420 on the post test to qualify for testing.
